The CIF Central Coast Section, at its May 2013 Board of Managers meeting, approved the opportunity for member schools to participate in Sportsmanship Games for both boys and girls volleyball and basketball. This was an effort to raise money for their school and the CCS Sportsmanship and Scholarship programs. The Sportsmanship Games provide an opportunity for teams from CCS member schools to match up against each other in a game that does not count against their maximum number of contests and will not be used for their overall record or season summary for entry or seeding into the CCS Championships.
NO other game, scrimmage, or jamboree at any level can be played on this specific day in that sport. For example, you may not have a JV basketball game before the basketball sportsmanship game. You may not play a game on this day, if you are not participating in the Sportsmanship Games. Late contracts will not be accepted. Scores should not be reported to newspapers and the results should not be added to Scorebook Live & Max Preps or any media outlet. If you have any questions please contact Assistant Commissioner Marco Sanchez at msanchez@cifccs.org or (408) 224-2994. |
